This extremely slow growing Cactus tree is great for any xeriscape or drought tolerant landscapes. Tall, cylindrical dark green, thin yellow thorned columns can get up to 40 feet tall and up to 2 feet wide creating a tree like shape over time. Dark red flowers appear in Summer once plant is mature. Try not to water too much in winter to prevent root rot. Great for drought, hillsides and large container plantings. Can tolerate colder climates and is fire resistant.
