This desert grass is one we consider a "torture friendly" plant. Elongated yucca like leaves can reach up to 5 foot in height. Leaves have hairy filaments that protect them from hot and cold temperatures. Bases will swell over time creating a pineapple like shape. Small white and greens like flowers appear in Spring once mature. Extremely drought, frost and heat tolerant in the ground once established. Good for hillsides, xeriscapes and container plantings. Prune old bloom spikes and leaves to shape. Deer tolerant.
